WAO has responded to Covid19 outbreak by rolling out an efficient risk communication strategy to reach wider groups including marginalized groups. We have employed door to door awareness campaigns using mega phones, social media updates, translation of Covid 19 messages to Arabic and Nuer, mainstreaming of the Covid 19 messages in our programming design.

 

 

Women Advancement Organisation is currently responding to Covid – 19 by producing locally made re-usable face mask production to prevent the spread of Covid – 19.

165 youth have been trained in Electrical engineering and solar installation by WAO with fund from UNESCO in Gudele, Supiri, POC1, Yei and Wau.

 

WAO has trained 140 youth in building and construction with funding from UNICEF  in Juba Supiri youth Center, Juba, POC1 and Yei.

UNESCO Project funded Women Advancement Organisation to train 215 beneficiaries  in hair dressing and saloon management in Gudele,  Hai-Neem and Yei.

Tailoring in protection of civilian site one. (POC). Women  and Men being trained on garment making in POC 1, as part of vocational training programs supported by UNICEF Fund South Sudan. Over  500 tailors were trained.
