The Women Advancement Organization (WAO) implements integrated programs that reach out-of-school children, youth, women, and marginalized groups across South Sudan. Working hand-in-hand with local communities and international partners, we create pathways to dignity, livelihoods, and lasting peace.

Education & TVET
Alternative Integrated Basic Education & TVET
Free alternative education and vocational training for out-of-school children, youth, and women across six states in South Sudan.
- 17,300+ learners graduated with certificates
- 380 volunteer teachers trained
- 140 teachers receiving monthly incentives
- 05 schools supported with sanitary kits
- 20 schools supported with vegetable and fruit gardens

Livelihoods
SKY Project — Skills for Livelihoods
Empowering 1,000 youth and women with skills and knowledge for livelihood improvement and social inclusion.

ASPIRE Education Project
Strengthening civil society engagement for quality education and ending early and forced child marriage.
- Locations: Terekeka, Kapoeta, Torit
- Civil society forums on equality and shared power

- Community outreach and back-to-school mobilization

UAF Flood Response — Mvolo County
Emergency support for flood-affected populations in Western Equatoria State.
